SPIRIT HARE

 My spirit hare is roaming through the moonlit countryside, just a shadow - a piece of living magic, a trick of the light. The aurora is colouring the sky in all her glory, and the world is quiet, slumbering, only my hare, and I awake. Hare leaping silently, swiftly, gracefully, me wandering around inside the confines of my own mind. 

 I love this hare. There's lots of me in it, and it went through many transitions before I felt it was complete. She kept me company in the wee hours when my mind was too restless for sleep. There are touches of gold and silver scattered throughout, not just in the big fat golden moon. I used ink, watercolours, pen and watered-down acrylics to create the original. 

 I have a limited run of only 50 prints for this painting. Every print is hand finished with the gold and silver detailing, including the fat golden moon. Each print will come in an 8 x 10 mount. I will mount them in an ivory mount, unless you would like a different colour - if so, please ask and I will see if I can accommodate you. The prints will be signed and numbered on the back of the print, I also add the name and number on the front of the mount - but in pencil so it can be removed if you prefer (very much personal choice)
